On the Road

Sheila is back in town and currently sacking out in the staff break room at the museum. She is looking to hitch a ride with anyone heading toward Eugene in the next few days. She says she is playing speedy delivery for some of the off-grid folks and needs to get down toward Fresno in the next week or so.

She’ll be able to pay for gas, but if she can just tag along with someone already heading that way, that will spare her a few bucks for a taxi or a motel later if she needs it.

If there are any takers, let her or one of the museum staff know. Otherwise, she’s going to start out on foot Saturday. It’s an 18 hour walk to the Greyhound station, and she’d rather not have to hitchhike. “You all worry too much about me, Sheesh, I’ll be fine. I can walk all the way to Tulle in nineteen days if the weather cooperates, and there are only two wildfires going on right now that I need to worry about in the least. I’ll be fine for chrissake!”

Any takers will also get a voucher for a free breakfast at Edna’s.

Thanks.
